Post-print and bindery
After a job has been printed, whether it was offset, digital, letterpress or engraved, it still has to be processed to its final configuration. This usually begins by cutting the press sheets down to their final size. If the product is a book the bindery department will then collate and saddle stitch, perfect bind or spiral bind the items. If there is folding, padding, gluing, edge painting, laminating or trimming it is done in the bindery department. Finally the job is checked for quality and consistency, counted to be sure of the proper quantity and packaged for pick-up or delivery.
