Acceptable Application Files

We do accept MS Publisher Files, although you will need to contact your sales representative for information on setting up your file. We can also manipulate MS Word and PowerPoint files to an extent. These files are not used for high quality printing reproduction.

Image Files
Please use EPS or TIF files for placed images - for color images make sure the colorspace has been set to CMYK. All placed images should be set to 100%, when possible, in your chosen layout program. Image resolution should be between 150 - 300 DPI at 100% size. This means that if you have a 300 DPI file at 3" x 3" and you want to enlarge it to 9" x 9", your resolution will be 100 DPI, which is unexceptable. If you are setting type in Photoshop, please make sure that your resolution is 300 DPI or greater at 100%.

Collateral

When using Quark Express, please perform the "Collect for Output" function, or if using Adobe InDesign, please perform the "Package" function. This ensures that all associated fonts, text and images are collected and saved in the root directory where your file resides. If you are using some other application, please be sure and collect all associated fonts, text and images or we will not be able to print your files properly. If you are using Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, change all text to outlines and be sure your colorspace is set to CMYK.

Submission

You can upload your files via your web browser by visiting the FTP section of this website here. All files that will be uploaded must be compressed (.sit or .zip) in one archive. We also accept CDR, DVDR, ZIP, all types of flash cards, USB thumb drives, floppy disks, firewire drives (400/800). Midtown is equipped with WIFI - please ask your sales representative for details.
