Guidelines for Digital Files

In any business, the more prepared one side of the job is, the quicker the other side can complete it. The same is true with printing. Here we have put together a list of important details necessary for incoming digital files. If you follow these simple guidelines, your job will take less time on our side.

The best way to work on a job on your own is to centralize everything that you need. For instance, put your picture files, text files, EPS files, TIFF files, and your designed and layout files all in one folder. This makes things easier when sending your files to us, as you can simply compress the entire folder and send it on its way.
Make sure you follow these details:
•Always supply us with everything your designs include
•All fonts included in your layout
•External photos and illustrations
---Photos must be scanned at least to 200 DPI @ 100%
---Save as EPS or TIFF format
---Make sure your external files are in CMYK format
•When you are ready to upload or send your files:
---Make sure everything the file needs is included
---Download a compression program and "stuff" the files
---Use one of our upload methods to send us your files
---If you email the files, make sure to tell us who you are, what job the files are for, and what your contact info is.

Following these simple instructions will help us tremendously, saving time and money.
